The FAME kerbside collection vehicle is simplicity itself. Economical to purchase, operate and maintain and do not involve large investments in capital outlay. All are custom built to suit your own particular requirements.
Based on our own unique patented low floor chassis, the vehicles can be supplied with the Citroën Relay or Fiat Ducato chassis cabs, now with the new 2.8 litre common rail turbo diesel 'cleaner greener' engine. Plated to 5,500kg gross vehicle weight and with a large payload of around 2,400kg. Excellent manoeuvrability and without the need for the driver to hold an HGV licence, the vehicles will play an important role within your recycling fleet.
They can be supplied with fully galvanised stillages of various sizes, so that cans, plastics, glass, paper and textiles can be sorted at the kerbside, utilising the standard 65 litre collection boxes. Operatives do not have to climb onto the vehicle but load with ease from the pavement. Offloading at the depot is by means of a forklift or the stillages can be fitted with wheels and utilise a simple ramp.
