The first of three Mobile Fire Stations for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service

The vehicle has dual functionality with its primary and predominant use being that of a Mobile Fire Station, although fires and other operational demands will take priority.

As a Mobile Fire Station the vehicle provides a high profile focal point for the sustained delivery of fire safety related

activity away from fire service premises. The vehicle will be used for ‘hot strikes’ following a fatal or serious injury fire, fetes and galas and other community fire safety activities.

As a Command Support Unit the vehicle provides an effective and efficient environment that facilitates and supports

incident command teams in managing incidents to a safe conclusion. The vehicles will always be mobilised with a support pump and there will be a minimum of 4 personnel in the command support team.

The vehicle includes the following:

• 4 Workstations with full Radio Communications and IT facilities
• Satellite Dish
• Helicopter Downlink
• Internal & External Briefing/Conferencing with an attachable air shelter and removable LCD screen for external briefings.
• CCTV
• LCD Screens with special touch facility which is all operated by a state of the art Media Controller.
• Fully Equipped Kitchen
• Toilet cubicle with external access
