FAME Commercials Limited - Command Vehicle / Mobile Office for Tayside Police

This vehicle has been designed with a dual role in mind.  When used in the
Mobile Office role has been designed to engage with local communities and
includes disabled access and hearing loop.  A folding partition dividing the
vehicle into two distinct areas and a stable type door to create a public enquiry office type arrangement with ample space for displaying publicity material and a large plasma screen with DVD for computer presentations providing public
information.  The bi-folding glass door gives a welcoming aspect whilst taking into consideration the Scottish weather!

The Command Vehicle role means that the vehicle can be used as the centre of operations for a wide range of policing activities.  With a command/communications area at the rear and the front used to direct operations and briefings. 

The unit is fitted with airwave mobile and satellite
communications and is also pre-wired to allow ‘plug and play’ radio operators to work or alternatively 4 network capable computers to be installed simply.
The communications area has been replicated with all the IT functions of the force control room and has also been augmented to include mapping etc., which can be displayed on the plasma screen.

The rear of the vehicle has a completely separate kitchen area.
